York is a small city, seattle Is huge in comparison to York. the shops close early and the attractions are few, although it is a charming little city there is just not enough to last me during my two week wwoofing stint here. I've been doing a lot of reading and have been taking quick train rides to the coast particularly Scarborough, a waterfront that has a line up of kid arcades, casinos, gift shops, and fish and chip stands, its like a large boardwalk minus the pier. there is a small hike that takes you up to one of the castles and away from the arcade chimes and whistles and gives you a view of the city and coast, it's here where I hang out for the duration of my visit. they do have donkeys you can ride at the beach but they are for kids only :(
